UPDATE THURSDAY: Man arrested in Skegness in connection with woman's death is released

A man arrested following the death of a 39-year-old woman at a hotel in Skegness has been released.

Following the result of the post mortem examination and 'extensive inquiries', police say they are no longer treating this death as suspicious.

The 43-year-old man who was arrested has been released without any further action.

A statement by police this morning reads: "The matter will now be passed to the coroner.

"We would like to thank the public for their assistance."

Police launched a murder investigation yesterday (Wednesday) after the woman was found dead at the Links Hotel in Drummond Road just after 5.15pm. Initially it was treated as an unexplained death.

Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting incident number 286 of January 21.
