Horncastle Chef, based at the community centre, launched in December – and has served more 250 packed lunches three days a week.

With schools set to reopen on Monday, the volunteers are scaling back operations.

The volunteers – led by student Jess Holland – have thanked everyone who supported the project, including locally based Children’s Links.
