Walk along the coast raises over £500 for charities

A walk along the coast has raised more than £500 for two charities, including one providing respite breaks for children with terminal illnesses.

Walkers set out from the RNLI station in Skegness on Saturday and headed to the Seascape Cafe at the North Sea Observatory at Chapel Point.

The event was by Sam Knighton, Trustee of Zachary's Shack which is named after her son who died of cancer, and Donna Watson and Richard Harrison, who represented Team Carly for Macmillan Support.

Macmillan was chosen in memory of a close friend of Richard Harrison, Carly Riding, who was helped by the charity to have a last Christmas with her family.

"We are thrilled with the support for the event and would especially like to thank Vicky at Seascape for her generous donation and for providing refreshments for us,” said Sam.
