During lockdown, WGB owners Sonia and Dave Elton turned to online sales and home deliveries, which kept them extremely busy.

When government guidelines allowed, they began bookable shopping spots, but now they are delighted to be able to reopen the whole garden, with no need to book.

Sonia said: “We will be open every day in July and August from 1pm to 4pm, except for Mondays.

Parking is now a one way system all the way around the walls, so there is plenty of space between vehicles.

“Even though we are experiencing a difficult year financially, we have opted to keep our free entry policy in place, so everyone can still visit.

“We have a donation box for anyone who would like to contribute towards the maintenance and development of the garden; all donations would be greatly appreciated.”

The tea room will be serving a limited menu, as a take away service, with chairs and tables spread out for guests to use in the garden.

The plant stall is also well stocked.

WGB has had to postpone all the live events at present and those with tickets will be kept up to date through email as plans change and adapt according to government guidelines.
