It features contributions from pupils, parents and members of staff.

Teaching assistant Heidi Bartram said: “As a school, we felt it important to get each of our children to express how they felt during this difficult Covid journey and several lockdowns.”

The project, she said, helped highlight that ‘we are all in this together’, and create a ‘real sense of community and belonging’ among those involved.

The finished piece has been set up in a public area of the school, giving children the chance to read and learn about how others have felt and coped during Covid-19.

Messages include: ‘I really missed seeing my friends and family’, ‘It’s definitely made me realise how much going out with a friend is such a special thing that I should never take for granted’, ‘I am thankful for NHS staff’, and ‘Thank you for helping us learn at home and creating a safe place for us to come back – we miss you all’.

The work has also been put together in a video format for the school to share via social media.

“Every child in our school across every year has had the opportunity to participate in this and help promote their mental wellbeing and share experiences together safely,” Heidi added.
