'We wanted to go out with a bang': Light at the Museum brings Christmas magic to The Village Church Farm in Skegness
A ‘Light at the Museum’ event in Skegness proved a sparkling finale for visitors and the hard-working volunteers.
The Village Church Farm Museum was transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with twinkling Christmas lights, cheerful snowman and gingerbread man characters, and plenty of seasonal treats to nibble on.
Inside the farmhouse, visitors were transported back in time with a beautifully decorated Victorian Christmas, while the tea room served up special offers on hot drinks and mince pies.

Manager Naomi Walton said: “We wanted to go out withb a bang! It was a fun night for everyone, including our amazing volunteers who have worked so hard this year.”
The museum is now closed to the public until the New Year’s Day Oil Engines event, running from 10am to 3pm, which kicks off its milestone 50th anniversary year. After that, it will close again until February 14 for essential maintenance. Photo: Barry Robinson
