Widowed Misterton author is working on new Christmas book

Following the death of his wife Jade after the birth of their son, Hugo, in 2018, Ric Hart took to writing to help come to terms with his loss.

Ric, who is from Misterton, wrote a book for children about bereavement, Hugo and Daddy’s Night-time Adventures, then an autobiography, Pupy Love.

Ric and Jade met in 2002 and were married in Thailand in 2015.

Sadly Jade passed away shortly after their son Hugo was born.

And now with a new lady in his life, Victoria, and her three sons, Harry, George, and Charlie, the two families are jointly working on the next book, Hugo and Daddy’s Christmas Adventures, and the boys are helping to illustrate the new book

Ric said: “It will tell the story of Hugo going on an adventure with Santa at night and visiting the North Pole.

"I am hoping this provides an opportunity for the boys and gives them the confidence that anything is possible in life going forward.

Ric also has two more children’s books in the pipeline, Hugo and Daddy’s Thailand Adventures and Hugo and Daddy’s Superhero Adventures which will be part of the Hugo and Daddy’s suite of books.

Ric’s autobiography, Pupy Love, is available from Amazon at £12.99 paperback or £19.99 hardcover. All the proceeds of the book go to WAY Widowed and Young, a registered charity that offers support, understanding, and friendship to the young bereaved.
