Twenty-eight town centre businesses entered the competition, pulling out all the stops this year to decorate their windows with a cheerful festive theme.
The outright winner was Lucks of Louth (Eastgate), second place was Lakings (Eastgate), and third place was Whole-istic (Upgate).

One of the judges on the council’s Floral Working Group, the Mayor of Louth, Councillor Darren Hobson, was bowled over with the high standard of entrants.

He said: “The additional Christmas atmosphere in the town centre created by the window displays will certainly have lifted the community’s spirit at a time when it is much needed. I am delighted that so many of the businesses took part, it certainly made our task of choosing the winners very difficult”.
