Wolds Wildlife Park welcomes zoos re-opening announcement - but say they won’t open until July
In a statement published on the Wolds Wildlife Park Facebook page, owners Andrew Riddel and Tracy Walters say it is ‘excellent news’ but add that they are ‘still not expecting to be open until July’.
They said: “After pressure from the public, it was announced yesterday evening that zoos will be able to reopen from Monday!

“We have a pretty good idea of what some of these precautions will be and have been working behind the scenes to get them in place but we still have work to do!
“We want to keep you all as safe as possible when you do return.
“Unfortunately, this means we are currently still not expecting to be open until July.

“We may begin taking bookings for experiences again before we open to the public but this is still dependent on the requirements of reopening so we will let you know more at a later date.

“Either way this is excellent news and every one of you who signed petitions, wrote to MPs, submitted questions and generally kicked up a fuss about it played a huge part in saving many UK zoos! Thank you!”
