Woodhall Spa marks VJ Day 75th anniversary

Across the country, people have been marking the 75th anniversary of VJ Day, which saw the end of World War II - and Woodhall Spa residents were among them.

The Woodhall Spa & District Branch of the Royal British Legion held a small service at the village war memorial.

Branch president, Dave Mullenger, along with his wife Shelia and the newly-appointed Rector of St Peter’s Church, the Rev Joseph Snelling, were joined by a small number of visitors.

The Rev Snelling led the service, which was followed by two minutes’ silence and the laying of the RBL VJ75 Wreath on the Memorial by the Branch President on behalf of the branch committee and members
