However, Claire Creasey says her husband Lee Creasey and his dad Andrew Creasey don’t deserve the ‘filthy looks’ they are getting from people who don’t realise the vital work they are doing at the hospital.

The duo are builders for the BMS division for Lindum Construction.

Claire said: “They have had filthy looks being at work but what folk don’t realise is they are at Pilgrim Hospital building units for coronavirus patients.”

Claire said a ‘few other lads’ from BMS were also helping.

Claire explained that some of the workers have been staying home as they have childcare or health issues but still get full pay.

She said: “These lads are doing it to make a difference and to help maybe save lives.

“I’m so proud but upset by people putting on social media “Bob the builders at work - what for?”

“They are told every day they don’t have to be there but they want to do something to help.”
