There was Lincolnshire livestock and delicious delicacies and, unlike last year, was plenty of sunshine and blue skies.

Show chairman Charles Pinchbeck said: “It’s incredible, there are thousands and thousands of people literally from all over the world. I was having a chat with a man from Australia and he thinks this is the best show in the northern hemisphere.”

After a ‘fantastic’ turn out on the Sunday, Charles added: “Early indications are that it could be another record year.”

Planning is well under way for next year’s special 150th show. Charles said: “It will be something absolutely amazing.”
