Ahead of the match, the Lashings All Stars took to the field at The Mayflower cricket ground on Rosebery Avenue for some pre-match entertainment.

The team of world famous players included Monty Panesar, John Emburey, Gordon Greenidge, Kirk Edwards, Wasim Jaffer, Yasir Arafat, Chris Lewis, Devon Malcolm, Sherwin Campbell, Andrew Gale, Chris Schofield (c) and Martin Bicknell.

They gave youngsters a few tips and tricks of the trade in a junior coaching session... and they were also shown a few tricks of their own.

The match was commentated by Henry Blofield, sports journalist and broadcaster, a fsamiliar voice on Test Match Special on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra.

The event also included bars, a barbecue, children’s bouncy castle, bungee rides and a raffle.
