Organised by Wragby Community Group, which runs the centre, free coffee and cake was on offer as an enticement and they were delighted with the response.

The newly-opened Hub was previously the library, next to the fire station on the Millbank Business Estate off Lincoln Road.

The group receive a grant from the county council to continue running the library with volunteers, so still offers book lending and computer access, as well as other activities.

Access to library is currently Wednesday and Friday from 10am to 1pm.

They are now keen to develop full use of the facilities, which includes hiring out rooms for training purposes.

One of the extra activities that has been on offer was a three-day workshop at the end of last year to create a textile wall hanging depicting shops and businesses around Wragby market place.

The hanging was officially unveiled by ELDC District Councillor Nick Guyatt, who supported the workshop through the District Councillor’s grant scheme.
