PICTURES: A croaking time crafting toads

The first in a series of workshops preparing for Swineshead Pageant saw residents making toads on Sunday.

The Pageant itself takes place on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26, and will commemorate the last journey of King John – who was allegedly killed using poison from toads back in 1216.

Photographer David Dawson went along to get some toad-ally awesome snaps.

The next workshop at Coffee Corner, High Street, Swineshead, is on Saturday, March 5, and will see people making medieval jewellery.
