The Carlton-in-Lindrick Village Fete at the Carlton-in-Lindrick Civic Centre, Long Lane, on Saturday 11th July, was well-attended as visitors were entertained by performance from the girls at Rebecca’s Dance Studios, an indoor animal roadshow, craft stalls and a 25-ft climbing wall, amongst many other activities.

Dog owners were intrigued as they watched members of the Start-Rite Canine Centre demonstrate tutorials on agility, obedience and behaviour.

Dean Johnson, founder member of the Kennel Club Scheme, said: “People were interested in what we were doing.”

The theme of this year’s event on Saturday was ‘summer holiday’ and Gabriela Demeterova cut the ribbon for the official opening.

The day included performances by the Dinnington Training Brass Band, U3A Steel Drum Band and New Orleans Strollers.

There was also a dog show, a parade, Zumba and vintage tractors.

The Harthill Carnival Society said: “We’d like to thank everyone involved and our sponsors for their help.”
