The development proposal, submitted by Lincs Design Consultancy Ltd on behalf of applicant Mr I. Blakey, was initially approved at an East Lindsey District Council planning meeting in November 2014.

However, the outline planning permission could not be formally granted until a Planning Committee meeting last Thursday (January 7) after the Section 106 agreement was finalised.

The agreement was signed off on January 4, and includes financial contributions towards local health care and education provision in Louth.

Louth Town Football Club proposes to relocate to a new ground on land off Nottingham Road on the Fairfield Industrial Estate once it has been purchased by the community interest company ‘EARLY’ (Education, Advancement, Recreation for Lincolnshire Youngsters).

No development or demolition at the Park Avenue site will be allowed to commence until this replacement sports facility has been completed.
