Plenty of positive points for Waring
Waring, from Park Avenue, was part of a Scotland team that finished fifth out of six teams in the Sainsbury’s-backed event, held in Sheffield.
Mum Lorraine told the Guardian that her son was thrilled to take part.
“It was a fantastic weekend, really good,” she said.

“Jack had an amazing weekend.”
The 16-year-old would have been part of the North Area squad, but with the majority of the Great Britain Under 22 side coming from that team, it was decided to split the players up to make a more evenly-contested tournament.
Lorrain explained: “It made it more interesting, he had to play alongside less experienced players and bring them on.”
Waring is taking his A-Levels at Dinnington Comprehensive this year, and looking forward to the Junior National Championship in October where he will represent Yorkshire Under 19s.
