Police appeal over assault which almost cost one man an eye

Police are appealing for information over an assault which resulted in one man '˜almost losing an eye'.

As part of an ongoing investigation into the assault that happened in Skegness last month, Det Con Emily Wooll-Rivers is appealing for independent witnesses.

The incident took place between midnight and 12.30am on Sunday, February 29, on Roman Bank, near to the Asda Garage.

A police spokesman said: “In total, eight people were involved in the disorder, which resulted in three people being injured: one with multiple facial fractures who nearly lost his eye, one with a fractured arm and another with bruising to their face.”

Two local men, aged 33 and 42, and two local women, aged 29 and 46, were arrested in connection with the incident and all four remain on police bail.

Det Con Wooll-Rivers would particularly like to hear from any members of the public who were visiting the Asda garage, or driving along Roman Bank, that night.
