Police CCTV appeal after spate of van raids in Boston and Spalding

The incidents took place overnight from Wednesday to Thursday, February 28, to March 1, Lincolnshire Police say.

Investigating officers are asking anyone in the areas listed below to check any CCTV they may have for a silver or pale blue Audi A3, possibly with five doors.

They would like to trace the driver and occupants of this vehicle seen between midnight and 2am in Boston and 2am and 4am in Spalding or anywhere in between.

For Boston, the areas they are particularly interested are:

* Welland Road

* Westfield Avenue

* Parthian Avenue

* Rowley Road

* Fairview Way

* Rosebery Avenue

For Spalding, the areas are:

* Commercial Road

* Low Road

* St Annes Way

* Woolram Wygate

The request follows 15 raids or attempted raids on vans, with property stolen in some cases.

The items taken are tools and include a Dewalt drill, a planer, and power tools.

A spokesman for Lincolnshire Police said: “We are still collecting details of stolen property so cannot be more specific and cannot offer values of property stolen, but we know one victim has lost tools valued over £1,700.

“The vehicles targeted include a Vauxhall Vivaro, Citroen Relay, Peugeot Partner, Peugeot Boxer Mercedes Sprinter, and seven Ford Transit vans.

“Please check your CCTV if you live in the roads mentioned between the relevant hours and let us know if you have any images that you think could help with our enquiries.

“We would like to hear from you if you have any information that could assist the enquiry.”
