Police & Crime Commissioner candidate comes to Louth

Mr Jones, who was selected as the Tory candidate in October, was joined by East Midlands MEP Emma McClarkin for a walkabout in the town’s Market Place.

Amongst the problems raised with Marc included rural and wildlife crime, the lack of visible policing, and the need for improved victim support.

Marc said: “Coming back to Louth with Emma and talking about how the town can be made safer was really important and I enjoyed meeting many local residents.

“The six-point police plan I have introduced provides action on many of the issues raised, for example introducing new community constables to beat rural crime.

“The Police and Crime Commissioner is an important role and it is time Louth had a commissioner who can work with Government, spend wisely and produce fresh ideas to beat crime.”
