Police hunt masked men

A YOUNG woman was mugged by two masked men in Langold on Sunday.

The 21-year-old was walking along the A60, near to the entrance of Langold Adventure Park, at around 9.50pm when two thin men with black scarves covering their faces approached her.

They grabbed her shoulder bag and one of the men demanded she hand over her mobile phone before pushing her to the ground.

They ran to a grey car and fled in the direction of Carlton.

The bag is cream with a distinctive crown design on the front and measures around 9 inches by 6 inches. It has the letter J etched into it and a cracked mirror sewn inside. The handle ripped off the bag when it was taken from the woman.

Inside the bag were keys, letters, a purse, and a small teddy bear which is of enormous sentimental value to the victim.

The toy is cream, around 20cm in height, with a purple nose and a purple paw. A yellow and purple tag was still attached to it.
