Police issue another appeal for Matthew Porter

Police have issued another appeal for a Boston man wanted in connection with a robbery at a Newark jewellers at the beginning of the year.

Matthew Porter, 35, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery on January 11, 2016.

It followed the targeting of Andrew Michael’s Jewellers, in Stodman Street, in Newark, on January 6.

Porter was released on police bail but failed to answer it and is now wanted.

Mr Porter has previously lived at addresses on St Nicholas Road and Whitehorse Lane, in Boston.

Police have since made several appeals to the public for help and have even broadcast the appeal on Crimewatch.

Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information leading to his arrest and conviction.

Anyone with information on Porter’s whereabouts is urged to call Nottinghamshire Police on 999 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
