Police looking at whether blaze was arson

Police are looking into whether a fire at a former Boston College site was arson.

Fire in the old sports hall at Boston College's former Mill Road Campus

The blaze at the former sports hall in Mill Road was reported to police at about 9.15pm.

A police spokesman said: “It would appear that it was a deliberate ignition and further enquiries are ongoing to see if it needs to be crimed as arson.”

The site is now owned by Cyden Homes.
