Council in social work project
Lincolnshire County Council has been chosen by the Government to lead on developing and improving social work practice through a programme called Partners in Practice
Because Lincolnshire’s Children’s Services department has been rated ‘good’ by Ofsted with an ‘outstanding’ for adoption, it has been identified as a one of a few councils able to lead a national initiative on developing and improving social work practice.
The ‘Partners in Practice’ initiative will see the council agree priorities and work programmes to improve and develop social work practice - and ensure vulnerable families and their children are given the best support and services possible.
LCC Children’s Services director Debbie Barnes said: “I’m particularly pleased to be a leading part of this new Government project.”
