Coronavirus halts elections for new ward councillors
Coun Strange represented the Market Rasen Wolds ward at the county council and was ward member for Kelsey Wold at district level.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, both councils have put the election for a new member on hold.

Hide AdAt LCC the role is being split between six councillors. Coun Ian Fleetwood will cover Market Rasen, Middle Rasen, Legsby and Linwood; Coun Sue Rawlins will cover Kirkby cum Osgodby, Owersby, West Firsby and West Rasen; Coun Patricia Bradwell will cover North Willingham, Sixhills, Tealby and Walesby; Coun Hugo Marfleet will cover Claxby, Kirmond le Mire, Normanby le Wold and Stainton le Vale; Bishop Norton, Caenby, Snitterby and Waddingham will be covered by Coun Clio Perraton-Williams; and Glentham, Normanby by Spital, Owmby and Saxby will be covered by Coun Richard Butroid.
At WLDC, Coun Paul Howitt-Cowan will be the interim point of contact for any Kelsey Wold matters.
Discussing the county council arrangements, WLDC councillor for Market Rasen, Stephen Bunney, said: “They’ve got a different councillor for West Rasen. It does seem a bit strange to me, but that’s the way it goes.”
