First phase of new enterprise park fully let

Agents for a new, council-owned business park say all units in the first phase of development are now fully occupied.

BTG Eddisons has confirmed the news with the letting of the final light industrial unit at North Kesteven District Council’s Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park on this first phase of the new, 37-acre strategic employment site adjacent to the A17, north of Sleaford.

This first phase of 15 units off Pride Parkway sees a mix of local and national operators across a range of diverse sectors including utilities, building contracting and pet food manufacturers.

Development began in 2021 on the high quality, premium business space in a landscaped setting focusing on employee wellbeing and the convenience of location.

William Nuttall of BTG Eddisons said: “The park sits well as a modern extension to the already established commercial industrial area north east of Sleaford, on the crucial A17 which is an important East-West link connecting the A1 with the East Coast ports.”

North Kesteven District Council Leader Councillor Richard Wright said: “The aim of purchasing the site and creating a high-quality business park was to unlock growth and bring new jobs to Sleaford, as well as showcase the district as a great place to work and do business in, and it’s clearly achieving that already through this first phase of 15 fully let units.

“It also shows the importance of building better. We’ve provided units that are high-quality and flexible spaces, which are well-designed to meet business needs as well as being futureproofed with energy conscious features such as solar panels and EV charging points, and all sitting within an attractive business park space.”

Clean Planet Energy, part of the Clean Planet Group, is a UK-based clean-tech company which builds ecoPlants that convert hard-to-recycle plastics into circular products for use again in industry. Last year, it identified the second phase of the enterprise park as the ideal site to build its second ecoPlant in the UK.

If successful in securing planning permission, Clean Planet Energy is estimated to bring 50-70 direct new green jobs to the local area while reducing the amount of waste plastic in the UK which is either incinerated or taken to landfill, or might end up polluting our environment.

Plots four and five of Sleaford Moor Enterprise Park are still planned to be developed in future.
