Public toilets in Sleaford unable to open after staff test positive for Covid

Sleaford Town Council has had to temporarily close some of its facilities at short notice due to staff absence caused by Covid-19.

In a statement, the council said a member of its small team of staff has tested positive for Covid-19.

“In the interests of the safety of our employees and the public, several employees are isolating,” it said.

This has resulted in impact on a number of services, including public toilets located in the cemetery, Money’s Yard, museum and Boston Road Recreation Ground closing from today (Wednesday, January 13).

Dog and litter bin collection will also be limited. “We ask that people take rubbish home with them where possible,” said the cuoncil.

Burials will continue to be provided, but they will be unable to offer facilities for cremations for a period of 10 days.

If you have any concerns about any of the arrangements, the administration team will be available.

Sleaford Town Council thanked people for their understanding and hoped to reopen facilities from Saturday January 23.
