Town councillor re-elected as Mayor of Market Rasen
Coun Jo Pilley has been re-elected as Mayor of Market Rasen for fourth year.
She was first elected to the position of Mayor and chairman of the council after stepping into the role vacated by Coun Stephen Bunney in 2023, being re-elected each year since.
She had been Deputy Mayor in 2022-2023.
Coun Pilley moved to Market Rasen eight years ago, and has been a town councillor for seven.

Previously she worked for a large parish council for 17 years.
She commented on her appointment for the year 2026-27: “I am proud to have been elected as Mayor for the ensuing year and my aim is to continue to support the local community and the many active groups working within it.
“I will also continue to support our local businesses and I look forward to seeing more improvements completed throughout the town which will enhance the area for the enjoyment of residents and visitors alike.”
Last year she raised almost £500 for Macmillan Cancer Care as her chosen mayoral charity and she has selected The Poplars Residential Home for the coming year.
