Don't miss out on funding for environmental projects

Individuals, schools, community groups, businesses and anyone else in the district are urged not to miss out, by sending in their ideas for a chance to win up to £500 and the support of North Kesteven District Council’s Sustainability Officer to help get their scheme started.

To enter, all you need to do is send in a short summary of no more than 200 words about the project, how much you are applying for and your contact details to [email protected] by Sunday, November 27.

A public vote will be open between December 5 and 18, with the winners revealed on Tuesday, December 20.

Any project is welcome as long as it will improve impact on the environment or reduce the use of finite natural resources – energy, fuel and water.

Individuals can apply, but their project must also be of some benefit to the wider community.

Last year, North Kesteven residents decided Quarrington Pre-school should be awarded £300 to grow fruit and vegetables, and that Thomas Garrett Heritage Rooms should receive the remaining £200 prize money to make the old church warmer for its users.
