Free parking will return next month

ELDC will publish a legal notice on Wednesday March 16 announcing the change, which comes into effect 
28 days thereafter.

The decision supports a recommendation made by an ELDC Scrutiny Panel.

In Louth, the Linden Walk and Cattle Market car parks will become free, although Bridge Street car park will retain its existing arrangement (two hours of free parking) following a request from Louth Town Council.

In Alford, South Street Overflow and Millers Way will both become free, as will the Sandilands car park in 
Sutton on Sea.

The Horncastle Cattle Market/The Wong car park will become free, as will the car park off Market Place in Tattershall and High St/Silver St car park in Coningsby.

Boston Road car park in Spilsby and Market Place car park in Burgh le Marsh will also both return to all-day 
free parking.

However, The Broadway and Royal Square in Woodhall Spa will retain its existing arrangement of two hours free parking following a request from 
Woodhall Spa Parish Council.

The Leader of the Council, Councillor Craig Leyland, said: “We’ve listened carefully to the messages we’ve received from local people, the business community and Town and Parish Councils and I’m pleased the District Council is able to reintroduce free parking again in 
some of its car parks.”

Car parking arrangements at all other council-run car 
parks will remain unchanged.
