Market Rasen mayor to serve town for third term
The vote was carried out at the annual meeting of Market Rasen Town Council, held in Festival Hall on Wednesday evening (May 4).

Hide AdCoun Matthews will serve as mayor of town for 2016/17, until May next year.
This will represent the councillor’s third consecutive term in office, having first been elected as Market Rasen mayor back in May 2014.
And Coun Matthews, who took over the chains from Coun Steve Bunney, is delighted to remain at the helm.

Hide AdHe said: “I am delighted and honoured to be trusted with this responsible position once again and look forward to serving and representing Market Rasen for another year.”
Also at the meeting, Coun Martin Harvey was voted in to remain as deputy mayor of the town.
And Coun Margaret Lakin-Whitworth will stay as chairman of the Market Rasen Town Council planning and development committee.
