To avoid duplication of effort and resources NKDC has funded a six month trial which involves a Citizens Advice adviser being located in the council offices two days a week, to provide support to NKDC and Jobcentre Plus customers.

At other times access to Citizens Advice services is available via a computer located in the council’s customer service area or by telephone.

Kirsty Taylor, Adviser with Citizens Advice Mid Lincolnshire said she will be on hand to provide confidential advice and information to local residents on subjects from employment, consumer and relationships to housing, benefits or money.

The new service started on May 3.

NKDC Leader, Marion Brighton said: “The Citizens Advice Service based at the council offices will add to the well-established Money Advice Team who offer home visits across the district working under the Advice UK umbrella. It will now be possible for people to get advice across a whole range of issues at the right time for them.”
