Tourism team fly flag for area at '˜Ally Pally'

The tourism team from East Lindsey District Council has been flying the flag for the area at a major travel exhibition.

The council has made its second appearance at the Excursions show, held last month at London’s iconic Alexandra Palace – affectionately known as the Ally Pally.

The event offers group travel planners the chance to discover the best on offer from travel and tour companies.

More than 1,300 group travel organisers and tour operators attend, looking for inspiration for holidays, day trips, attractions and guided tours.

Following the event on January 23, the council reported great interest shown in the district, with a number of inquiries made.

Tourism and marketing manager Alison Macdonald said: “The majority of the visitors to our stand were looking for general information about the area which gave us the opportunity to promote the whole of the district.

“We also received a number of specific inquiries about specialist holidays, which the Tourism Team are following up.”
