Want to be a county councillor..? Here's what you need to know!

A briefing session is being organised for anyone who is interested in standing as a county councillor in the May elections.

The briefing in Grantham on Monday March 6 at 5pm is intended to help anyone who is thinking of becoming one of 14 county councillors within the South Kesteven area.

Organised at South Kesteven District Council’s offices on St Peter’s Hill, the event will cover the nomination process, outline the election timetable as well as matters relating to voting, campaigning and count arrangements.

Anyone who is interested in standing for election is asked to get in touch with the elections team in advance to confirm attendance and the electoral division they wish to stand for by contacting 01476 40 60 80 or emailing [email protected]

The election process begins with the publication of the Notice of Election on March 27.

Completed nomination papers are required to be delivered by hand to the elections team at South Kesteven District Council Offices in Grantham by 4pm on Tuesday April 4.
