£120 goods thefts from town store

A WHITWELL man - with £18,000 of debt - stole more than £120 worth of goods from B&M Bargains, Worksop Magistrates’ Court heard.

John Bramall, 34, from Duchess Street, admitted to thefts of Lego, dog food, a red rug and two Hello Kitty easels on 26th November and 2nd December.

David Grant, defending, told magistrates how Bramall, unemployed, was receiving medication for depression.

Chair of the Bench Janet Coyle sentenced Bramall to a six-month community discharge and ordered him to pay £122.95 in compensation to B&M Bargains: “Because of your financial situation we are not going to fine you on this occasion.”
