£1m lottery cash for Langold and Carlton

LANGOLD and Carlton have been allocated £1m to spend on community projects.

The villages are to receive the cash as part of a pioneering Big Lottery Fund scheme to put decison-making power in the hands of local people.

They will decide how to use the National Lottery funding to improve their local area over the next 10 years - from tackling anti-social behaviour to providing more activities for young people.

Residents will also benefit from a range of support, training and networking opportunities to enable them to make the best use of their funding.
