Pub pair skydive for Niamh

BRAVE staff at a Woodsetts pub have gone to the extreme to raise money for Niamh Power.

Karina Clark and Natalie Hudson from The Butchers Arms jumped out of a plane several thousand feet up in the air.

Their daredevil experience didn’t go unrewarded because the pair raised more than £1,000 for Niamh.

Karina said she has known Niamh and her family for almost four years. Niamh’s brother Seb, plays rugby with Karina’s son Ross for Dinnington Rugby Club’s under 11s team.

She said: “We wanted to raise money at The Butchers Arms for Niamh.”

“Natalie suggested doing the skydive. We knew we needed to do something extreme to raise as much as possible and as Natalie has a fear of heights, jumping out of an aeroplane was sure to get everyone digging deep into their pockets.”

“For me the best part was the initial jump and the exhilaration of free falling for almost a minute at speeds in excess of 120mph – what a rush. Natalie’s favourite part was the landing.”

Karina added: “We’d both love to do it again but I think I’d be the first in the queue.”
