Public meeting called over Bridge Street disabled parking ban

A PUBLIC meeting will be held this month to discuss Bassetlaw residents’ views on the proposed changes to parking on Bridge Street and Bridge Place.

MP John Mann has called the meeting following increasing concerns over Notts County Council’s plans to ban parking on the pedestrianised area of Bridge Street.

The six-month pilot order, which will begin in April, will affect anyone who currently uses blue or green badges to park in the town centre.

The meeting will be held from 11am-12.30pm on Monday 19th March at The Crossing on Newcastle Street.

There is limited blue badge parking at the venue and it will be offered on a first come first serve basis.

Please call The Crossing on 01909 473375 to reserve a space.

There is also parking nearby at the Queen’s Street car park.
