Putting their best foot forward... Clarks staff in Boston leave after shop closes

Clarks staff in Boston have walked out of the Strait Bargate shop for the final time.

The shop shut for good on Monday, November 28.

The photo above was taken by Sue Kirk, whose husband Bill worked for the store for a number of years.

She explained: “Russell Welch, the manager asked me to take the ‘final staff photo’ as he knew I had taken the previous ones.”

She said staff were ‘extremely sad’.

In the photo is the daughter of Sally Walker(Holly Walker) and the granddaughter of Gill Golding (Gemma Whiley) who were on the last Masons’ staff photo printed by The Standard in August.
