QEHS celebrate high achievement

Queen Elizabeth High School held their presentation evening with former pupil Celia Lord making a speech and presenting prizes to those who had exceeded expectations in their schooling lives.

Headteacher David Allsop said that all at QEHS thought that it was important to recognise and reward excellence.

“It was such a fantastic evening,” he said.

“We all thought that it was lovely to be able to celebrate the achievements of those students who had excelled, and to be able to gather the whole school community together.”

He continued: “The students that we gave awards to would have done particularly well academically, put astounding effort into their studies or just been a good citizen in and around the school.”

“It was just a great chance to say well done to those who had made positive contributions towards school life.”

The event was for last year’s year 7-10 pupils - all of whom were ‘doing QEHS proud’.

“I would like to congratulate all of our winners,” said Mr Allsop.

“There were over 100 winners on the night, and I believe that this is testament to our very high standards of excellence.”

Mr Allsop went on: “The evening gave out the clear message that we always like to celebrate and reward high achievement and we will always continue to provide outstanding educational opportunities for all of our students.”
