Now based in Coningsby, Lisa has worked in the Army, Navy and the RAF, and has experienced cooking on board battleships at sea and catering in tents.

Lisa said “I feel as though there are many myths about the Armed Forces that need dispelling and I find that the students are more likely to feel comfortable chatting to me and asking me any questions that they have whilst we’re preparing food together rather than they would in a large open forum.”

Later in the year, students will have the opportunity to engage in work experience at RAF Coningsby.
