Reader letter: Filming at council meetings is allowed

At the meeting of the Anston Parish Council recreation ground charity on Monday, 3rd November Labour councillors attempted to stop members of the public filming the meeting.

I feel Labour councillors have a history of causing disturbances in meetings.

The reasons given were a distortion of the facts.

Unfortunately for the chairman, John Ireland, the public are in full possession of the true facts and they cannot stop the public filming or exclude the public.

Particularly as the council were themselves filming the meeting.

What was the reason for this attempt at secrecy? The mind boggles!
