Retford: Robbed at knifepoint
At around 9.50pm yesterday (Sunday) two men entered the Betfred bookmaker’s in Carolgate.
They threatened the only staff member in the bookmakers at the time with a knife.

Hide AdThey feld carrying a clear plastic box with a green lid containing cash.
The 22-year-old employee was left shaken but uninjured. No customers were there at the time.
The men appeared from behind Claire’s Accessories, in Carolgate, and fled in the direction of Asda, in Wharf Road.
One was white and of medium build. He was wearing a black jacket with the hood up, black jeans and sunglasses

Hide AdThe second man was possibly of mixed race. He was chubby and shorter than his accomplice. He wore his hood up.
Det Insp, Ash Wilson said: “We believe the offenders were in the vicinity of the shop before and after the robbery.
“It would have been dark at the time. Not exactly the time for sunglasses. Did you see them?”
“Have you seen a plastic cash tray matching the description of the one taken? If so, call us.”
