The couples completed both the jive and Tango before an eventual winner was decided by the audience.

Pete and Lynn Best took home the prestigious glitterball trophy but the real winner on the night was the charitable cause involved.

Helen Eshelby, a fund raising co-ordinator for the hospice praised the couples and everyone involved behind the scenes, saying: “They have worked so hard over the last 10 weeks to make the show a success.”
