Retford: Woman, 55, gets three-year ban after being three-times over limit

A 55-year-old Retford woman has been banned from driving for three years after being more than three-times over the drink-drive limit.

Ingrid Brailsford, of Wharf Road, admitted the offence at Mansfield Magistrates’ Court on Thursday.

Brailsford was found to have 131 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood on Carr Road, Retford, on August 29. The legal limit is 35. She had only been the owner of the car for three weeks.

She received a 12-week custodial sentence, suspended for 12 months. She will also be under a 8pm-8am curfew for two months, banned from driving for 36 months and must pay £315.
