RNLI lifeguards are back in action watching the beach in Mablethorpe

The charity’s lifeguards will be at their posts from 10am to 6pm. The daily service will operate until Sunday, September 4.

A service will also come on board at Sutton on Sea from July 2 with daily patrols again operating until September 4.

The role is 95 per cent preventative and the teams have completed a period of extensive training.

This ensures that every RNLI lifeguard has the vital skill-set to enable them to deal with everything from locating missing children through to performing major first-aid and lifesaving rescues.

RNLI lifeguard manager, Vincent Pank, said: “We always advise people to visit a lifeguarded beach where patrols will be on-hand to offer friendly safety advice.

“This includes to always swim between the red and yellow flags and information on tide times.”
