Road crossing
A CROSSING in Swallownest is to be removed because it is not used enough.
At Aston Parish Council meeting on Tuesday councillors were told that a consultation had begun into the crossing on Worksop Road by Rotherham Council.
The local authority wants to remove the traffic light controlled crossing and replace it with a pedestrian refuge island.
