Rocky Horror 40th birthday

You don’t often see hundreds of people wandering round Sheffield in stockings and high heels.

But there were plenty of them on Monday for the opening night of the Rocky Horror Show at the Lyceum.

This special ‘party’ production is celebrating the show’s 40th year - and what a party it was.

From the first lines of Science Fiction Double Feature -the opening number - the audience was ready to party.

One of the best moments, as always, was when the whole audience got to their feet to join the cast in the Time Warp.

The stand out performances came from Oliver Thornton’s fabulously dark Frank’n’Furter and Sam Attwater’s brilliant Brad.

This production is fun personified. If you are a Rocky Horror fan, you can’t afford to miss it.

Rocky Horror is at the Sheffield Lyceum until Saturday, and is touring the country all year.
