Rotarians step in to supply defibrillator
The story of a Sleaford woman's unsuccessful search for a defibrillator after being wrongly directed to go to Sleaford Leisure Centre, where there was no defibrillator, prompted members of the Rotary Club of Sleaford to take action.
So touched were they that the Rotarians decided to donate a fully automatic defibrillator to the leisure centre.
In presenting the defibrillator to leisure centre manager Natalie Wood, the president of the Rotary Club, John Elkington, said the donation had been given in the interests of the community and in appreciation of the centre’s long association with the annual Rotary Swimathon, which raises between £8,000-£9,000 each year for local, national and international charitable causes.
